The Country Chapel House of Rest was founded in 1987 by Eld. Lucio Cummins. Eld. Lucio Cummins felt the leading of the Lord to start a ministry in the city of Layne, BL. After much prayer and fasting, the church was formed. Through prayer, witnessing, fellowshipping, and outreach, the Country Chapel House of Rest has grown by leaps and bounds since its inception in 1987 under the leadership of Eld. Lucio Cummins. He is helped in the ministry by his wife Cortney Cummins. They work tirelessly with the help of the assistant pastor, Elder Carol Henderson, and the other leaders of the church. The church joined the Greater Buelahland Fellowship in 1989. Under the leadership of Pastor Hareld Davis, III, through the Greater Buelahland Fellowship, BL; the church has flourished significantly through its programs. The Country Chapel House of Rest is also a member of the Sons of the Ministry. The church has a number of ministries that help its members grow in Christ. The church's leadership team and ministry staff members are well trained to minister to the members of Country Chapel House of Rest.
